How to fix a broken hardrive using linux programs and live cds to and how to install windows back on it

This is a guide of how to fix a messed up hardrive and save the files and reinstall windows on it.

Turn on pc put bios to boot from cd/dvd rom usually by f1 and so onDownload Knoppix from http://www.knoppix.org/Burn iso on cd/dvd using iso recorder from here at http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htmPut knoppix in and boot from cd/dvd romgo to on the desktop and see your hardrive it will be something like /2hda. click on it ignore any error messages. Then copy the files you want onto a usb stick or a cd becuase knoppix has a built in cd/dvd burner
Turn pc offdownload gparted from http://gparted.sourceforge.net/burn iso on cd/dvdboot from itclick on first optionYou will see your hardrive and you can edit and delete it and so on. If the hd has a problem you will see little triangle error sign. I would advise you to delete it and it wipe it clean by clicking delete.Exit gparted reset pc
Put windows cd in pc and boot from it.Partiton hd to ntfsinstall windows and put drivers and your done.worked for me when my hd got fried.
